Dozens help paint crosswalk mural
Dozens of neighbors came out to help paint crosswalk murals on Laurel Street. The white line crosswalks had worn off at this intersection years ago and since then, crossing Laurel at 2nd St has been a harrowing experience. With the addition of these colorful murals, the street is once step closer to becoming an inviting, safe crossing.
The NLBID thanks all of the volunteers for their time, the Penn Treaty Special Services District for financial support, Mural Arts for their technical assistance, Philadelphia Streets Department, Space 1026, the NLNA, and artist Daniel Cappello.
