Qualifications and Assets:

I have been a business owner in the neighborhod since 1976 . I have lived here with my family since 1990 . I am “on the street” daily . Having watched the growth and development of the area , I have become very interested in the further development of the Business corridor/district. I served on the board of the Northern Liberties Neighbors Assn many years ago (1980 s) , then was involved with the CDC in formulating projects in the late 1980 s and then the Northern Liberties Business group – years ago – when we ran the original Second Street flea markets. I have served on the current BID board since its inception , and always contribute – to the discussion , the decisions , the goals , and attempts to direct the BID to what I consider the major issues ahead of us . ( recruiting new businesses , retaining businesses, supporting businesses,attempts at improving street lighting,trying to solve the bus “station” problem, the homeless problem , etc ) I would like to stay on the board to continue my close involvement..
