Sydney Rexroad

After nearly a decade in the DC communications world, a move to Philly prompted Sydney to shift gears from federal policy to neighborhood advocacy.

Sydney worked with the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association, first as a volunteer and later as Executive Director. In this role she secured state funding for Liberty Lands Park while growing the organization’s programming and partnerships. Sydney’s work with the business community eventually led her to the Northern Liberties Business Improvement District.

As Executive Director of the NLBID, Sydney focuses on advocacy, capital improvements and often serves as liaison between businesses and residents. She oversees day-to-day operations that support the NLBID’s mission to ensure Northern Liberties is a desirable place to live, work, shop & visit.

Sydney resides in Northern Liberties with her son, spouse and cat.
