Kristine Kennedy talks about Easy StrEats
Kristine Kennedy, Executive Director of the NLBID, speaks to 6abc News about the new weekend event, Easy StrEats. The event will take place on the afternoon and into the early evening of Saturday, July 11.
“It’s an opportunity for people to come out by bike, to walk, to stroll and explore Northern Liberties and to enjoy expanded outdoor dining,” says Kris Kennedy.
It is not a festival, but an opportunity to enjoy this portion of Northern Liberties and come out to support businesses.
“It’s definitely a learning curve for everybody to get it right and make sure it’s safe and doesn’t recreate a festival environment,” Kennedy says. “If there’s sufficient social distancing, we hope can repeat it for weekends throughout the summer.”
